Debussy - Reverie

Reverie was composed by Claude Debussy on 1890 and published on 1891. This said piece begins with a lyrical melody over a gentle and continually repeated musical phrase or rhythm in the right hand which is also counter-balanced in the left hand. It moves to climax of greater harmonic feeling of deep anxiety and after which the roles are reversed where the left hand has the melody thereafter. The middle part has contrasts in texture by introducing four-part chordal movement and its character is animated by a passage in the key of E major. When the opening notes are repeated again, the melody is shared between the hands with the continually repeated musical phrase or rhythm. The dynamics is fairly restrained throughout...
