openHAB 2 HABpanel demo and quick getting started guide. I will show you how quickly I was able to get into designing my own HABpanel user interfaces for my openHAB 2 home automation system after only installing the HABpanel add-on in my openHAB Paper UI. The design and configuration of the HABpanel UIs is fully plug and play and visual requiring no interaction with any code making it a breeze even for openHAB beginners! Of course if you want to create more complex GUIs and automate your system you will want to learn how to interact with the items and rules files that make your openHAB system useful! Even so the HABpanel user interface is much simpler to design than writing sitemap files and the user interface itself is much better suited for use on touchpads.
