SalsaSelfie Dance Blog: This short sequence contains two of my favorite social moves Saloneo and Rodeo Inverso Continuado. The last I regard as one of my own figures but of cause others have most likely invented something similar. Both moves are very social in the sense that they can continue for as long as they work to the music and for as long as both Lead and Follow position themselves correctly and for as long as the flow is working. And because the moves can continue or be cut short they are very useful for timing a dance to major changes in the phrasing of the music. This is a good example for how social moves can be very different from choreographed hard-wired Ruede de Casino moves. I will make in depth tutorials and videos about these moves soon. Practica is Number One Most of the figures in the videos work the best or are only possible if the Follow steps forward by default. A Follow should only do a back-step loosing two steps if the Lead lead her into such a back-step putting a break on the dance. Back-rocking Cuban Salsa very common outside of Cuba but also in Cuba could be called the Limited Edition of Cuban Salsa because it puts so many constraints on leading and following that less than half as many computational options are available compared to always stepping forward.,
