Heliopsis helianthoides Sunburst one of the most beautiful variegated foliage hardy garden plants

Heliopsis helianthoides var. scabra Sunburst is a variegated Heliopsis and it is one of the most beautiful foliage plants for sunny garden borders and it is a cultivar of a group of plants known as oxeye daisies or false sunflowers: the leaves of this plant are creamy - yellow coloured wonderfully variegated with green stripes that make a very intricate pattern against the pale background and this plant offer a great contrast with most of the other garden plants. An additional stunning feature of this variety are the bright yellow daisy-like flowerheads produced in abundance from summer to autumn and loved by pollinators. This plants is hardy in USDA zones 5 to 9 and therefore fully hardy throughout the UK and will thrive in well drained soils ideally in full sun or at least in partial shade. The plant is deciduous so the foliage will die back in autumn but will sprouts back even more vigorous in spring.
