Salima Visram is a social entrepreneur from Mombassa Kenya who founded and launched The Soular Backpack in November 2014. Soular Backpacks spread light: for every one sold the organization provides a Soular Backpack to a child who needs one in East Africa so they can do their homework. Salima went on to start SAMARA a 100 cruelty free fashion house focusing on minimalist designs made from vegan sustainable materials like apple leather. SAMARAs goal is to create more sustainable fashion create impact through The Soular Backpack and to create leaner more efficient supply chains. SAMARA was started with 500 and production runs of 25 pieces and in its second year scaled to production runs of 75k pieces and a 7-figure company. Salima brings a wealth of experience...and Fuckups!
