This is a demo video of my DIY Ambilight using a Raspberry Pi 3 and APA102 LED Strips surrounding the 65 TV. There is also a secondary LED strip under the TV cabinet strip that is also synced to the TV. The strips behind the TV are run with Hyperion NG using the Pis GPIO pins for data whereas the under cabinet lighting is using WLED that is being fed from the same Hyperion instance on the Pi using UDP. The WS8212B LED strips are more affordable and perform perfectly well for the price you could use these in place of the APA102 behind the TV. Hardware List: - TV LED Strips APA102 Led Strip - 60 LED per Metre could use WS2812B instead Raspberry Pi 3B for running Hyperion 20A 5V DC Power Supply - Under Cabinet Strip WS2812B Led Strip - 30 LED per Metre Node MCU - ESP8266 for running WLED Plus applicable wiring and connectors.
