Poem Corona-Window-Concert XX

We are happy to contribute to this idea online. Our 20th greeting goes to the Czech Republic and was composed by the Bohemian composer Zdeněk Fibich under the full title Poem Op. 41 No.4 from At Twilight. As the son of a head ranger he initially had music lessons with his mother who discovered and supported his musical talent at an early age. He conducted his first symphony at the age of 14 and unfortunately died relatively early in his 50th year. Fibich studied in Vienna in Prague with Bedřich Smetana in Leipzig Paris and Mannheim. Along with Antonín Dvořák and Bedřich Smetana he was one of the most important Czech composers. We have both played our first concerts in the meantime: it was a great pleasure and a great joy to perform live again!
