Sanyo C9 Classic Boombox Review

The Sanyo C9 boombox was a powerhouse during the years of 1982 to 1984 competing with similar units from JVC Pioneer and Sansui. Combining classic looks in a compact component setting the C9 likely was the most powerful portable system ever released by Sanyo that could run on alkaline D cells. Error note: During the video I make mention of the chrome accents noting covering of wires at the rear of the unit. This cover is not chrome but color matched to the components. Though 30 years old this oldskool classic can outshine the vast majority of portable consumer products available at your big box retailers. To that effect I elected to use a current tune to play once it came time to listen near the end of the review.
