Pseuderanthemum finally reappears in 40 year dormant garden

For the first two decades liriope bamboo azaleas coral ardesia nandina crocosmia and many exotic shade perennials were cultivated and monkey grass or lily turf took the place of lawn. The next two decades the next owners plastic sheeted over all the bamboo sodded small lawns with Bermuda grass and resorted to blow and go services. The last two decades mowers went BRRR. We arrived in 2014 buried to death all the Bermuda grass under free wood chips and ripped out all the coral ardesia and nandina. We have been mulching and watering and hand pulling all this time seeing who plays nice with each other and who the asshole plants really are. As we go more natives pop up and sometimes we get an exotic that is worth celebrating a bit. Like the volunteer tangerine tree.,
