We need better diagnosis and better access to medication - EFA ShowLeadership campaign

Luciano Cattani from the Italian organisation for the patient with asthma and allergic diseases FEDERASMA. In the ShowLeadership campaign Luciano asks for better diagnosis and treatment. Usually the patients have to wait a long time from first symptoms to the first diagnosis three years in case of asthma and five to six years for severe asthma. Furthermore patients must have easy access to specialized centres where they can treat any disease with the indicated specialist. Patients need access to the rightand new medicines. Politicians can help us to build this specialised centres and to ease the access off patients to new and appropriate treatment which are quite expensive and some are more unlikely to be easily available further no all patients can go to the hospital every time to take a medication.
