Magnolia stellata Rosea

Magnolia stellata Rosea is a pink flowered star Magnolia which flowers in April and May. The flowers appearing before the foliage. Magnolias should be planted in good loamy soil that is neutral to acid lime free with plenty of organic compost added. They should be sheltered from north and east winds and out of early morning sun. If there are severe frosts while the magnolias are in bud and the early sun thaws the buds too quickly they will be destroyed. Magnolia stellata varieties are generally smaller growing than some other Magnolias and suitable for smaller gardens.,
