How to Care for an Aspidistra elatior Cast Iron Plant: Instructions for Its Long Life

From a 1991 episode of The Indoor Garden TV series: Good care instructions and informative info for growing an Aspidistra or Cast Iron plant indoors. This is a segment from an episode entitled Low Light Plants. The Aspidistra in this video is one of the most beautiful specimens we ever came across. I just had to buy it and still have it today. This episode was videotaped at Seasons Florist in Washington DC. It is no longer in business. The Indoor Garden was originally made with professional VHS Umatic videotape for Community and PBS television. The videos have been transferred to DVD then converted to .mp4 HD format for YouTube. Liz had over seventeen years of hands-on learning and experience in the retail and commercial aspects of the horticultural biz before making this series.
