DPA 4080 cardioid lavalier. Mounting angle is critical. 5. DPA 4088F cardioid headset. Resistance against feedback on live stage. 6. Electro-Voice RE50B omni. Standard mic for interviews. 7. Sennheiser e 845 Foam supercadioid. This is an old model and Id like to test the newer e 945. 8. Electro-Voice ND767a Rycote fur. Dynamic supercardioid. Higher output compared to e 845. 9. Heil PR 22 dynamic cardioid Foam. 10. Shure SM57 A2WS. The pop-killer foam is a must when using SM57 as handheld. 11. Shure SM57 A2WS Sowter 1:5 impedance conversion transformer. My preamplifiers input impedance is 7.5 k ohm and the added transformer changes things a lot. Personally Im surprised by the audio quality of a mic designed some 50 years ago! OUTDOORS 12. Video cameras internal mics. Useless in this setting. 13. Schoeps CMC6MK4 CUT12 B5D on boom. Schoeps MK41 capsule or shotgun would give more focused sound. 14. Electro-Voice RE50B Rycote fur. Position has to be very close to the mouth but on the other hand this mic never pops on breath and can take any wind. 15. Shure SM57 A2WS. Some low frequency rumble is audible. No additional EQ no compression no limiting no noise reduction. - Take levels as entire clips were levelled in post-production by ear. - The most prominent mouth clicks were manually edited away. - Indoors: Soft room.
