Curtis 1314 Software Demo

I have a defective Curtis 1244 controller. I have obtained the Curtis 1314 diagnostic software available from Curtis - the version I have is the older V3.12 that is apparently easierbetter to use and you can buy a suitable connecting cable off eBay which comes with a USB to RS232 adaptor - search for Programmierer Curtis Controller 1314-4402 OEM 1309 from seller mac_gyver2000 - 80. Ths cable replaces the dedicated OEM Curtis 1309 cable whch has identical functionality but costs 5 times as much. You can also make your own for about 20 using the diagram here: www.evbitz.ukCurtis_Cable.html. The Curtis controller connector required for the cable is a 4-Pin MOLEX 5557 Connector picture here: To power up the controller enough to get the software to work you must connect a 24V power supply battery or PSU 0V to controller terminal B- 24V to B. Once connected apply the same 24V to the KSI Key-switch input pin on the controller which is pin 1 on the 1244 bottom right hand corner of the main 24 pin connector. You should then see the controllers status LED start blinking. Then start the 1314 software and configure the software for the USB-RS232 adaptor. as in the video. When ready to connect click on the connect icon and after about 30 seconds or so you will connect to the controler. See the other video I have posted here regarding this for more info.,
