We're growing ALOE VERA in our backyard. Which most of the year it loves our climate...but during the winter months...we tuck it under the porch...to protect it from the snow and freeze. It still gets the southern sun..and we eventually will hang a clear plastic sheet in front of the opening to create a mini greenhouse. GROW YOUR OWN ALOE! We use it externally for cuts, burns, bites and slivers...and internally in our elixirs. POWERFUL PLANT! Aloe Variegata Recovered | Aloe Update #1 - 10.02.2017

I got an Aloe Variegata from my Mother in law in October 2016. She gave it to me to help the plant. It had root rot, it had dark grey color, it was very thin, the leaves were curling inwards. I noticed that the succulent was standing in wet soil. At first I let it dry out but after I watered it again, the soil remained very wet for a long time. That is why I decided to repot it. I have planted it into new soil with perlite in it and I also moved the plant under the grow light. After a few months it has recovered as you can see in the video. The Aloe has now fresh green color, chubby leaves and it overall looks a way lot healthier.
