You know, powerful songs demand real talent not to make the video lag behind the enchanting sound.:P If any of you dare to use the song, please show me your vid.:3I have a personal tradition of making creepy Christmas videos, thus this crossover!:) When I was watching the boring and much overhyped Peripheral, the only sliver of entertainment I found there was imagining the ruthless unhinged killer to be the modern AU version of Dickensian's Scrooge. BTW, I highly recommend Dickensian (2018) as one of the best Christmas shows. So many great characters, witty lines and a clever whodunnit plot. Vanity Fair (2018) is also very enjoyable, I love Olivia Cooke's Becky and the small alterations to the plot of the novel. As for the story in this crossover, it's very open for interpretation. I see it like Scrooge and Becky lived in 19th century London not acquainted to each other but rather living the same money-is-everything vibe in a society that held them both in contempt. Then, either due to reincarnation, time-travelling or mental issues, they find themselves in some 21+ century where their preoccupation with money evolves into preoccupation with violence. Oh, I'd love to read a novel on this, but alas, all I have is a humble video. Voice-over lines, just in case they're not very clear: 'It's love that matters, isn't it?' 'Depends on how much you start out with.' 'If I'm not mistaken, and I never am when it concerns my money in other people's pockets... ah, there, see - eight shillings and tuppence.' Tom gives way to his temper, which leaves Hermione on the floor with her nose bleeding. Tom tries to gain her affection back, fishing out for sympathy by showing her his unhappy childhood memories. This doesn't work, Hermione still can't accept his violent ways. She wants to go back to her own time, despite that nice cup of cocoa Tom brought her.)) For your homework, think about weather he wanted her back because he had feelings for her, or merely wanted the talented witch to be one of his followers. HELP? While you are still reading this, can you recommend Tomione fanfiction to me? What I love: - time-turner or diary relationship - more about their battle of wits and morals, rather than physical attraction or true-love-out-of-nowhere - atmosphere true to the books, the castle full of mysteries, the feeling of how it's like to be a time-traveller - adventures with drama and moral conflicts - it's good if there aren't other main characters involved. When I say drama, I don't mean teenage drama and love triangles.)) - long well-thought stories are the best! - if it's rated M, let it be for dilemmas like "Is it justified to kill someone for the greater good?", not because of smut/language/gore. What I don't really like: - modern AU - explicit violence - smut - things that ruin the atmosphere. Ex. swearing: look closely at the books, the characters swear a lot but it's always hidden like 'he cursed under his breath'. So yeah, basically good writing is what I'm looking for.:) ___________________________ The gems I've found so far: "Corrupted by Light" by Avalon Kore Time-travel, Hermione's goal is to assassin Tom. Tom is dark, but not blood-is-everywhere dark. The only downside is that the story is unfinished, but after 25 chapters Hermione and Tom reach a kind of deeper understanding of each other despite being on the opposite sides, and this is pure gold for me. "Restricted" by Flaignhan Time-travel, but not by a time-turner, instead there's a time-travelling book in the library. What is precious: Tom gets his chance to visit 1990s! I loved how witty Tom is, and the fast-paced dialogue between the two. Warning: Tom is not evil enough here, but I'm ready to sacrifice some of his insane power-hungry personality for a good story and writing. __________________________ I will love you forever if you help me find a good Tomione story!I thought I'd share these with everyone!
