The tungstens are very loud and sharp and I found that I definitely needed a layer of foam to dampen it a bit, still, there is hollowness to the board that I didn't notice when I had banana splits on. I've tried adding a layer of case foam to the board that made it sound better, but compromised the feel and made it a bit too stiff so I removed it.
