I was fortunate enough to teach it out at Snowglobe Perspective and in Portland, Oregon for the ADAPT workshops the following week! I was really trying to go against the overall look I usually go for and cater more towards just flowing the moves right on the way I heard it. Trying my best to keep my same posture and comfort with the movement, just falling at a faster/more overwhelming rate than the usual balance. The pre-chorus and chorus were a little tricky on my side just because I normally would add more for the build up (pre-chorus), then clean up or create clearer moves to represent the musicality at the end (chorus). Instead I just wanted to focus on moving versus the way I'd normally envision it, switching it completely from the look of moves in the beginning. Even that beginning was for me to embrace throwing away the shapes with the acknowledgment that it is still on or in the music. Still everything here is in my repertoire from top to bottom, but just allowing myself to get through the song instead of setting my moves in stone really allowed for risks when it came to my formula. Keeps the experimenting interesting and it allows me to find more within what I'm usually too afraid to try. Then from there I could move forward with more play from just experimenting more of a "letting go" type of process both mentally+physically..an "unraveling" experience if you will haha.
