He also became Thane of Winterhold. Now, Davilas will visit the College of Winterhold. For the story quest "Elder Knowledge", he must visit the college to learn the location of the Elder Scroll. After resuming, he starts along the bridge north of Winterhold and meets Faralda. He soon convinces her to let him enter. For joining the College of Winterhold, the player earns the trophy Gatekeeper. Davilas receives the quest "First Lessons". His first objective is to report to Mirabelle Ervine in the college's courtyard. At the other end of the bridge, Davilas reaches the College of Winterhold. First, he talks with the College's leader, Arch-Mage Savos Aren. Near the door, he finds Mirabelle talking with a Thalmor representative named Ancano. Davilas talks to Mirabelle. She gives him some basic mage gear and gives him a brief tour of the College. In the Hall of Attainment, she shows him his quarters. At the end of the tour, she tells him to meet Tolfdir and his fellow apprentices in the Hall of the Elements. She can also tell Davilas about the masters for each school of magic. In the main room of the Hall of the Elements, Davilas finds Ancano at work spying. Then, Davilas joins Tolfdir and three apprentices. Tolfdir gives a little lesson in safety. Davilas must use and maintain a ward to block Tolfdir's little fireball. This concludes "First Lessons". Then, Tolfdir assigns Davilas and the other apprentices to meet him at Saarthal, an excavation in the countryside to the southwest of Winterhold. This begins the next College of Winterhold quest, "Under Saarthal". Tolfdir is a trainer in Alteration magic. He can sell Alteration magic. Davilas trains Alteration up a few levels. Then, Davilas heads into the Arcanaeum, which is the library. There, he comes across Nirya, who seems to have something against Faralda. In fact, she seems paranoid in general. Next, Davilas talks to the librarian, an Orc named Urag gro-Shub. When Davilas asks if he is looking for any special books, Urag assigns the quest "Shalidor's Insights". Davilas must find some of Shalidor's writings in Shroud Hearth Barrow. Then, when Davilas asks if he can assist with any College business, Urag randomly assigns him the objective "Find the copy of Arcana Restored", which is in Ragnvald northeast of Markarth. Davilas finally gets down to business and asks about the Elder Scroll. When Urag is finally convinced, he allows Davilas to read a couple of books. When Davilas reads "Ruminations on the Elder Scrolls", he starts the quest "Discerning the Transmundane". He must ask Urag about this book. Davilas also reads "Effects of the Elder Scrolls", which has troubling information about the scrolls themselves. After reading, Davilas talks to Urag about the insane book. Urag sends Davilas to find Septimus Signus, who has gone off to a location north of the College. Next time, Davilas will head off in search of Septimus Signus. Thanks for watching! The Anniversary Edition also includes 74 Creation Club mods, all 48 currently available ones plus 26 new, unreleased ones, adding up to a total of around 500 new gameplay elements for Skyrim. The game's main story revolves around the player's character, the Dragonborn, on their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The game is set 200 years after the events of Oblivion and takes place in Skyrim, the northernmost province of Tamriel. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving skills. The game continues the open-world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.
