I measure with Adash VA4 Pro II and I would like to show you something from my measurements, but especially the data analysis. Because the measurement is just a small part of the predictive maintenance, but the biggest part is the data analysis and your planning of predictive maintenance. Welcome in the environment DDS. In these videos I would like to show you my own process of vibration analysis in the software DDS. How do you actually analyse after your measurement? I would like to share with you, how do I analyse and what features do I use. These videos don’t say how are you supposed to do your analysis, but perhaps you will get some new inspiration, new ideas from different perspective and you become more effective with your work in DDS. I want to show you my routine analysis, which can discover beginning faults or potential failures. But before that, I need to tell you what kind of data do I measure and why. Tree explanation: In my tree on left side you can find divided machines and measurement points. Each measurement point is measured in radial direction. Sometimes I measure in axial or in vertical direction as well, but only in special cases, when I find out a problem, after the routine measurement. In each measurement point you can find 4 basic measurements which can cover most of the faults. For routine measurement I set up 4 frequency spectrums. Velocity explanation: First one is Velocity spectrum with following parameters, which you can see in properties. I measure up to 1600 Hz with 6400 lines. What does it mean actually? The spectrum is quite accurate with the frequency step 0,25Hz and therefore I am able to find specific fault frequencies. In each spectrum I set linear averaging type with two averages. It reduces the noise in measured spectrum. I apply also overlap on 25%, what reduces the measurement time and makes the output more accurate. In velocity spectrum you should find frequencies belonging to faults like unbalance, misalignment, mechanical looseness, electric problems or the last stage of bearing failures. Acc explanation: Then I measure acceleration spectrum with these parameters in properties. Frequency range is set up to 6400 Hz, what gives you possibility to find higher harmonics of bearing frequencies, gear mesh frequencies, electric drives or even cavitation. Demodulation spectrum Another very useful measurement is demodulation spectrum. It is demodulated acceleration signal and you can find here especially beginning bearing fault frequencies. It is provided by filtration of low frequencies from the signal. I set up two different filtrations. In the first one the Fmin is 2 kHz and Fmax is 10 kHz, so you get the signal between 2kHz and 10kHz. In a second filtration I get the signal and from 500 Hz and 5000 Hz, so Fmin is 500 Hz and Fmax is 5 kHz, due to catching different potential bearing faults. You should realize that the signal is developing as well as the bearing fault. At the beginning, the bearing fault vibrates in ultrasound frequency range from 20 kHz to 50 kHz. Due to fault developing, signal falls down in frequency range. You can catch bearing fault frequencies very early in demodulation spectrum. And therefore we do that. For early bearing fault detection. Besides you can find in demodulation also different frequencies belonging to drives or bearing loosenes or gearmesh frequencies as well. RMS values: Maybe you are asking, if I measure overall RMS values. I do, but not as another measurement. The RMS values are counted in the spectrums and you can see them in the right corner. The beneficiary of a complete frame up restoration, this handsome GTO is a perfect blend of expert craftsmanship and fine attention to detail. The cars straight and solid body is covered in a deep, highly polished coat of GM code A Starlight Black paint that is so fresh you'll swear you smell wet paint as soon as you're within five feet of its glistening panels. Under that paint, straight and tight panel gaps, which are consistent throughout the car, indicate that this GTO was a solid piece even before the restoration began; and, as we all know, with a color like Starlight Black you simply can't hide misalignments of imperfections. The result is a clean, show-worthy GTO which looks great hammering down the highway, but is subtle enough to stay under the radar. Under the hood you'll find a YS 389 V8 that was completely rebuilt during this GTOs extensive restoration and then upfitted with Pontiac's legendary Tri-Power setup. Correct chrome valve covers sit at the sides of three Rochester 2 barrel carburetors which each sport their own small, round air cleaner as original. Below those carburetors, a brand new coat of correct Pontiac Turquoise adorns the car's engine block from intake to oil pan, and a correct optional seven blade GTO fan sits behind a correct radiator that's equipped with correct GM hoses and tower clamps. At the sides of the block, correct reproduction exhaust manifolds send spent gases into a true dual exhaust system, and throughout the engine bay, detailing is nicely done including a properly finished master cylinder, a correct bright yellow throttle return spring, correct decals and a correct reproduction Delco Energizer battery. Logging very few miles since their complete restoration, this GTOs satin black floor and rust free frame are absolutely spotless and present as if they were brand new. During the restoration, the car's front suspension was completely rebuilt along with the its four wheel drum brakes and power steering was added to make the turns a little more manageable. Power from the growling 389 is sent to a Muncie 4-speed transmission which spins a familiar GM 10 bolt rear end that's complete with new coil springs, new shocks and a reproduction maintenance tag. In front of that transmission, the cars turquoise oil pan is completely dry indicating no leaks, and at the sides of that transmission, a nice mandrel bent true dual exhaust system incorporates two turbo mufflers, authentic wrinkle bent tail pipes and stainless steel turn downs. At the corners, correct silver painted rally wheels wear perfect stainless trim rings and center caps inside of four E70-14 Firestone Super Sport Wide Oval redlines. Inside the car a newly assembled black vinyl interior features firm Pontiac stitched seats and a completely restored walnut veneer trimmed dash. Positioned directly in front of the driver, correct optional rally gauges that are intended to be reminiscent of European sports cars look great and function just as well as they did in 1965. Below those gauges, a correct factory optioned AM push button radio sits in excellent looking new chrome trim which contrasts well with the gloss black lower dash. Between the seats, a new full length console holds a chrome Hurst shifter inside of excellent looking 'mile-long' finned trim, and below the console, new black carpet is protected by color matched floor mats with vibrant GTO emblems. At the sides of the seats, new door panels feature new stainless trim and chrome handles under correct red GTO emblems, and above the seats a new black headliner still retains its factory gloss. In front of the driver, a correct stainless trimmed Pontiac steering wheel features a trademark turquoise centerpiece inside of a pristine chrome horn ring. Packing a Tri-Power 389 under the hood and a slick shifting 4-speed Muncie transmission, this iconic black on black '65 GTO is an ideal blend of performance and style!
