The title says it all: the ensemble presents a tribute to the most important Italian film composers and to the poets and songwriters of the so-called "Canzone Italiana d'Autore". Among them are pieces by Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota and Nicola Piovani, as well as songs by Fabrizio De André, Francesco De Gregori, Lucio Dalla, Lucio Battisti, Paolo Conte, Vinicio Capossela, Pino Daniele and Angelo Branduardi, which have been newly arranged by Luca Artioli especially for this ensemble. Thanks to the instrumentation of NUOVA ORCHESTRA ITALIANA, these canzoni and film scores take on a new, elegant chamber music character. The musicians of this ensemble reinterpret these compositions and songs with liveliness and refined musicality and manage to convey to the audience the emotionality and absolute beauty of the music and the text.
