Anna Cavaliero (Soprano), Echéa Quartet (Rosa Hartley, Aliayta Foon-Dancoes, Dave Shaw and Eliza Millett) and Giacomo Susani (Guitar) perform Giacomo Susani's own "All Beauteous Things" live at the Great Hall of St Bartholomew's Hospital in London, world premiere. The concert was made possible thanks to the City Music Foundation and Bart's Heritage. The piece was commissioned to Giacomo by the City Music Foundation and is dedicated to the memory of Sir Roger Gifford, co-founder of CMF. It is based on the following poem by Robert Bridges: "I love all beauteous things, I seek and adore them; God hath no better praise, And man in his hasty days Is honoured for them. I like having a metronome at all times, but the only Volca with a metronome is also the one where I cannot set the tempo precisely. Fortunately, the metronome follows the sync quite well, and I can use a small mixer to send the metronome to one channel and the rest of what I am playing to the other channel. Using a more complex mixer, I can send the metronome to the headphones and the rest of the track for the main mix. However, I'm a simple guy who prefers overdubbing over to playing 7 instruments at the same time, so this arrangement works fine for me. :) Additional tip: I always keep one of the volcas (usually the Bass) with the large tempo range (10 to 600 bpm), so I can sync extreme tempos.
