A shootout of 4 violins from my collection, with the latest made by me from a violin-making course. Comments on the sound of these violins are welcome. Violins in this shootout: 1. German-made copy of a violin of Balestrieri (made in the 1980s) 2. No-label Chinese violin (made in the 1990s) 3. Cecilio CVN-700 (bought in 2013 and fitted with a new bridge) 4. Deo Gratias 1 (completed on Jan 5, 2014) All violins with Thomastik Dominant A,D,G. E strings vary. Audio recorded with a pair of Shure KSM 141 into a D.A.V.
