Well built and clean it has 4 original corner blocks and a glued in modern bassbar. Restoration included refitting the original pegs and endpin, reparing two small cracks in the table, fitting a new soundpost, carving a new nut, saddle, and bridge. The new tailpiece has 4 fine tuners. The original fingerboard was dressed to the proper scoop. It was given a light oil varnish after cleaning. D'addario Ascente strings have been installed. Jeff Taylor demonstrates its clean sound by playing a medley of fiddle tunes.
