While I'm so happy for her, I can't help but feel a bit sad that she's so far away from me. So I decided to make this video of me crafting a bouquet with flowers from my garden and surprise Ayako(-den). After editing, I realized this shows how I always make a bouquet, for any other occasion, for every bride. I really do hope someday soon, I can physically see her holding the bouquet I made for her. 🧡 In video: •Cutting flowers from my garden: I have a tiny garden near my house, where I plant every pot I cut flowers from, and have been growing over the years. This spring, peonies, hydrangea, German Iris, some garden roses, hellebores, garden strawberries, lily of the valley, lilac, cherry blossom and pansies are blooming. •Gather and Assemble Studio: This is our studio entrance. I'm always welcomed at least one of my cat friends every morning. •Some more home grown flowers: I’m almost embarrassed to call this my ‘garden’, so I won’t. But I grow a few varieties of flowers and plants in front of my studio, so I can cut fresh flowers for events and floral arranging classes for my students. •Mint Oil: I love using mint essential oil when I arrange flowers. Especially when I use Clematis. A, I love love love the smell, and B, studies show that it actually helps the cut flowers’ vase life longer if I dip the stem of the flowers after cutting them. So I follow. •Important bouquet making ritual: Oh, this is really important to me. I love to burn an incense stick, or a sage smudge stick before I start crafting a bouquet. The smell really helps me concentrate. •Choosing the perfect ribbon: I love to wrap a bouquet with a delicate silk ribbon as a finishing touch. Si bien la planta resiste bastante bien el frío, es mejor que hagamos el almácigo de orégano dentro de casa. 🌿Una temperatura cálida estimula y favorece la germinación de las semillas de orégano. 🌿Puntos importantes para germinar semillas de orégano: 1) al ser semillas muy pequeñas las vamos a sembrar superficialmente para que puedan germinar. 2) al germinar, las semillas del orégano, van a ser muy sensibles a la falta de agua. Por eso recomiendo hacer una siembra como muestro en el video, para evitar que se deshidraten en esta primer etapa 3) necesitan buena iluminación, porque como son semillas que germinan en la primer semana, al recibir luz desde un inicio, se estimula muchísimo el desarrollo inicial del orégano Recuerda siempre que el orégano es una planta que va a necesitar buena iluminación, el suelo debe drenar muy bien.
