Early Splendour is classified in the group 8 of the daffodil classification (Tazettas). It was rased by A.C. van der Schoot in the Netherlands and registered before 1938. The flowers are 5-6 cm across and have creamy-white tepals, flushed yellow at the base, and yellow, almost orange corona. The fragrance is sweet and floral with some notes of peppermint and liquorice, but not pungent, very pleasant, the intensity is not that strong so I would recommend this variety more for indoor fragrance rather than for a fragrant garden. As usual for daffodils, the bulbs need to be planted in autumn in well drained soil, and the plant thrives in full sun or at least partial shade. In summer the foliage dies down and bulbs can either be lifted and divided, or left in place keeping them as dry as possible.
