Amidst Scandal Douglas Elliman has fired "Real Housewives of New York City" star Ramona Singer after racist slur claims surfaced during filming. The decision has been made amid a media tempest caused by a Vanity Fair article revealing problems at Bravo. After joining Douglas Elliman in November 2021, Singer took to social media to share her enthusiasm for her new role. A promotional ad at the time emphasized the sales and marketing expertise and entrepreneurial spirit she would bring to the company. This week, however, she officially severed ties with the real estate firm. Singer reportedly lost her job on Tuesday, and on Wednesday, the link to her profile on the Elliman website returned a "Page Not Found" error. In November of 2029, Singer first showed interest in the property market. The following year, 2021, she successfully completed the real estate exam. In 2018, the reality star had also listed her Upper East Side condo with Douglas Elliman. Bravo stars like Kelly Bensimon have had fruitful careers in real estate, but it's not unheard of for reality stars to join the firm. After working as an Elliman agent for a while, current "RHONY" cast member Erin Lichy was cast in Season 14. The scandal concerning Singer was triggered by a Vanity Fair exposé that probed behind-the-scenes concerns at Bravo, and in particular, within the "Real Housewives" franchise. It was stated that Singer had used a racial slur during the production of "RHONY" Season 13, which triggered a formal complaint within the network. The outcomes of an internal probe were not clear. Singer's use of a racial slur was already controversial, and her text message defense to a Page Six reporter only added fuel to the fire. As a result of the aftermath from these charges, she was barred from attending Bravo's annual convention, BravoCon, in Las Vegas. While the original Vanity Fair article centered on the network's inner workings rather than its celebrities, Singer became the focus of later media attention. Singer, who first denied using the slur, and Bravo officials have not commented on her termination from Douglas Elliman. A major turning point in Ramona Singer's professional life and reality television career is the uproar over her behavior and the resulting loss of her employment.
