The Battle of Shiloh was a major moment in the American Civil War because of the high casualty rate. In this video, I depict the destructive fight for the peach orchard where the brigades of John Breckinridge engaged the brigades of Stephen Hurlbut. The peach orchard was a scene of horrific fighting as the Confederates launched numerous assaults against the Union lines and finally broke it once Albert Sidney Johnston personally led the Southerners into battle.
