GREENBURGH, N.Y. — When the doors to the Knicks’ practice site were opened to the media Thursday afternoon Kristaps Porzingis was already gone, sent home sick according to the team. But as word spread about comments from the brother of the Knicks’ young star were being scanned on cell phones, Knicks’ executives might have been the ones feeling a little out of sorts. In an interview with the magazine, “Sports Avize” that ran on the Latvian website Sportacentrs Janis Porzingis, who serves an agent for Andy Miller Sports, the agency that represents Porzingis, called out the Knicks for the dysfunction in the organization and put some blame on Carmelo Anthony while warning that they could see the latest face of the franchise depart, too, if things don’t improve. The one thing that Porzingis and his brother should be accustomed to is that the good times don’t last long at Madison Square Garden. Last year it was Anthony who was in the center of the storm, poked at by since-fired team president Phil Jackson to try to get him to waive his no-trade clause. John observed massive safety failures throughout his career at Boeing as a quality assurance manager. He spoke with reporters and interviewers about Boeing's tendency to push production on aircraft, pressure technicians to ignore problems, and continue on with business. Irrespective of safety concerns, planes left the assembly line even though they had issues such as cheaply sourced parts, missing bolts on emergency doors, missing panels, missing components and more. His concerns were specifically about the 737 Max, 777 and Dreamliner planes. As of 2017, John initiated a lawsuit and formal investigation into Boeing's practices. This was an investigation with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line for Boeing. However, Jon was determined to shed light on what he believed was a massive risk to the public safety. He travelled to South Carolina towards the end of the investigation to give a final testimony to Boeing attorneys. However, this final interview never happened. On the day before the interview, John Barnett was found dead in his vehicle, outside of his hotel, with what appeared to be a self-inflicted wound to the head. Family and friends say John would have never done such a thing, and that the circumstances surrounding his death are extremely suspicious. So much so, that police investigators ended up taking fingerprints from the vehicle he was in. This never happens in cases where the victim has self-inflicted harm upon themselves.
