The SUV is the first strong hybrid from the India's largest carmaker and is being co developed with Toyota Motor Corp of Japan. The 2022 Grand Vitara will be offered in six variants. There will be Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha, Zeta+ and Alpha+. The Smart Hybrid will be offered on Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha whereas the Intelligent Electric Hybrid will be offered on Zeta+ and Alpha+. Price Maruti Suzuki is yet to announce the price of the Grand Vitara, but as per speculations, the ex-showroom price of the new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will start from Rs 9.5 lakh. Production of the new Grand Vitara will begin in August at the Toyota plant in Biladi. This September, the award will be announced during the festival itself. Exterior and interior The new Grand Vitara has an elegant yet muscular design. A large front fascia and angular wheel arches give the new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara a stylish look. while keeping it modern. The 2022 Grand Vitara will get LED lighting all around, plastic body panels, 17-inch wheels and more. Inside, the new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara gets a 9-inch infotainment system with connected car technology and smartphone connectivity that allows users to access select features through a smartwatch, dual-tone interior, rear AC vents, panoramic sunroof and head-up display. Features include wireless charging, automatic climate control, a height-adjustable driver's seat, a folding rear seat and a digital instrument panel. The new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is available in six monotone exterior shades and three dual-tone finishes. Engine options The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is offered with two engine options. The first is a 1.5-liter mild hybrid system that develops 100 horsepower and 135 Nm of torque with the help of a five-speed manual or AT. Another offering is the powerful 1.5-liter hybrid engine paired with an e-CVT found in the Toyota Hyryder. Engine power is 114 horsepower. The automaker also claims a mileage of 27.97 kmpl, which is the highest mileage in its class and the most fuel efficient SUV in India. The new Vitara will be available with Suzuki's All-Grip AWD system.
