The Mercedes-AMG GT3 will be built on the success of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 which has claimed several titles in various GT racing series around the world. AMG does not plan to introduce any factory-backed team at the moment, meaning the AMG GT3 will be built and sold to customer racing teams. Mercedes-AMG has a new race car based on its stunning GT sports car to replace the hugely-successful SLS AMG GT3, which is being phased out at the end of the 2015 motorsport season. We got our first look at the new GT-based racer, aptly named a “GT3”, at the recent Geneva Motor Show, and now we have a video from YouTube user nordschleife96 that shows it tearing up the Nürburgring.
