I had some additional footage of a previous job where we skim coated and textured these walls. This video also shows me applying a trowel on cement plaster texture. There are many plastering systems to cover cinder blocks, but this is permanent. As we were working on this job, I set up a camera to take this footage hoping to show the whole project. Unfortunately, we got too busy and I forgot to check on it. At some point the battery died so we don't get to see the end of the day. I didn't have a place to put it in the other videos we made so I thought I would make it into its own post. I go into a bit of detail about the textures in it, but one thing I didn't mention is if you pay close attention to the bottom left wall you'll notice I put a slightly different texture on at first! Well, I switched trowels after I had some lunch and as silly as it sounds that is sometimes all it takes to wreck a rhythm you have going. It's not a big deal as its easy to take the bumps out and put new ones in, but rather than ignore it I want to acknowledge it. No one is perfect at this stuff all the time. I am a pretty good plasterer, but there are plenty of folks out there far better than me. Luckily I make up for it in other ways, like being able to produce these videos for folks to show them what we do. Anyway, hope you all enjoyed it!
