Harry Potter is dead, Voldemort takes over. His idea of pure blood society is ruined when the realization comes that most of the arranged marriages between pure blood families fail to reproduce. The repopulation effort is enacted to bring wizard's back to greatness. Hermione Granger is tangled in the center of it all but she represents much more than another filthy-blooded woman to bear a child - she is dangerous. She just cannot remember why. I'm the fury in your head I'm the fury in your bed I'm the ghost in the back of your head I have to warn you - it is dark, heavy. I was really kind of overwhelmed by some of the first chapters and couldn't understand how in the hell it is a story where I supposed to ship Dramione. Because it really seems wrong at first. But I'll tell you what Zoé (SunnyVids) told me when I was about to just drop it: just live through first 25 chapters and it will make sense when the plot twist hits. And after that it is still draining and dark but you just cannot stop because you need to know how this twisted tale will end. Is happy ending even possible? Anyway I recommend if you are not triggered by descriptions of abuse, anxiety, PTSD, panic attacks and a other traumatic experiences (I suppose if you handled The Handmaid's Tale you will handle that too). It left me broken but very impressed as you can probably tell considering I do not make vids for many fanfics. My edit may contain spoilers but I tried to make it non linear and not put context everywhere so it is not that telling if you haven't read (well some parts are so be warned). Obviously there are some moments that I adjusted to the scenes and voice-overs that I had because well... It is hard to stick 100% to the source when you have only that many scenes of these actors :D additional cast from my head: Lily Collins as Ginny Weasley, Gaite Jansen as Astoria Malfoy (yes, she is dark haired in my head), Sarah Gadon as Narcissa's young portrait and Douglas Booth as Graham Montague (I'm so sorry Douglas). Rest is as it was in the movies. As to Dramione - I have a hard time with them. I completely don't ship them in canon and I find it twisted and uncalled for. But there are some authors and editors that are able to create a very compelling AU vision in which they work and build something complex and interesting. So yes, I do appreciate them in these nice AU takes.
