A small team led by Henry Hagnäs Elkjøp single-handedly built the new platform while rapidly onboarding themselves and their developers. We early on defined some guiding principles for choosing amongst all the CNCF technology and keeping us safe from accidental mistakes. We introduced GitOps for centrally managing the state and handling disaster recovery with ease. Linkerd as a tool for security and aspect-oriented programming. We leaned heavily on the use of metrics for monitoring, alerting, and the missing link between management and developers.
