Kubernetes took it a step further my standardizing distributed systems to manage and run containers. Along the way we lost touch with the power of virtualization. In this talk we look at a critical new hybrid system that spans virtual machines, virtual infrastructure, and container orchestration. We learn how this impacts real systems, data pipelines, and stateful applications.В этом видео мы расскажем о системе контроля версий Git. Try Tectonic, enterprise Kubernetes in 15 min or less here: https://coreos.com/tectonic/#get-startedVideo of a conference talk about multi-tenancy in Postgres, delivered at Citus Con: An Event for Postgres 2023. In this talk, Karen Jex explores how the Postgres environment can be designed in various different ways to accommodate multiple customers and/or applications. But which is the “right” option? The answer is, as always, “it depends”. The correct method is the one that provides the required balance between performance, security, high availability, and manageability. In this presentation, Karen looks at the different multi-tenant database architectures and the advantages and disadvantages of each. It should enable you to design the most appropriate database environment for your applications. Karen Jex was an Oracle DBA for 20 years before starting to work with PostgreSQL databases. She liked them so much that she became a Senior Database Consultant and then a Senior Solutions Architect working exclusively with PostgreSQL. Karen was once described as “quite personable for a DBA” which she decided to take as a compliment. Outside of the world of databases, Karen loves cycling, mountain biking, skiing, and spending time with her family in the mountains. Karen is also doing a part-time PhD in Computer Science. ► Video bookmarks: ⏩ 00:00 Introduction ⏩ 01:06 Multi-Tenancy ⏩ 02:30 Using a cake bakery to set the scene ⏩ 04:35 Multi-tenant Options ⏩ 21:32 How do you choose? ⏩ 26:16 Conclusions ✅ Learn more: Watch more Citus Con 2023 talks: https://aka.ms/cituscon-playlist ? Did you know, testing your application in a production-like environment can help you catch bugs early in the development life cycle and greatly increase the overall quality of the shipped product? However, setting up your #cicd (#gitops ) pipeline in a way that allows you to set up ephemeral production like environments is no trivial undertaking. But #kubernetes can help. Join Sorin Dumitrescu, VP of Engineering, and Cristian Blanaru, SRE team lead at Bunnyshell as they discuss: ? How to use Kubernetes to create cost-effective, ephemeral environments that look like production ? How to easily integrate GitLab and GitHub pipeline testing with Bunnyshell using ephemeral environments ? Made this video late at night so I apologize for my fumbling errors... HEAT github: https://github.com/plasmapotential/HEATHow do I safely dock my boat is a question we get daily. One of the most stressful parts of boat ownership is the process of docking at a marina or even your own dock. Boats are predictably unpredictable at low speeds. They are often influenced by winds and current. You as the boat driver need to learn how the way that you build momentum (and how much) is critical. We see many people pick up the skill very naturally, only taking days or weeks to get proficient enough to be comfortable and then eventually master it over many years of practice. We also have seen boaters who have been doing it for 30, 40, or more years who continue to struggle. Whether you already own a boat or are thinking about buying one, this video could be for you. We want to help you brush up on your boat docking skills so you can be safer and more confident. In this video we will cover: 0:00 Intro 1:03 How to prepare for docking your boat. 1:32 Why neutral is your friend when docking. 2:23 Momentum is the name of the game in boat docking. 2:53 A boat is a solid in a liquid...never forget that. _______________________ Boat Docking Tips Article: ▶https://blog.lenscove.com/blog/boat-docking-tips-think-curling-and-not-ice-skating Boat Ownership/Care and Maintenance Playlist: ▶https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiYTkMUynMp6g0nknFqvHzaMaVgyolaze Boating Learning Center: ▶https://www.lenscove.com/learning-center/ ________________________ Connect with us! ▶https://lenscove.com ▶https://facebook.com/lenscove/ ▶https://twitter.com/lenscovem ▶https://instagram.com/lenscovemDjango : psycopg2 cannot connect to docker image To Access My Live Chat Page, On Google, Search for "hows tech developer connect" As promised, I'm going to share a hidden feature with you. What is special about Tiles is that it expects MQTT topics as the source of data. What it does is subscribes to the specified topics on the broker and shows topic payload in the selected format - e.g. gauge, text, etc. MQTT Tiles can also publish data to the topics thus also supporting actionable controls - such as toggles, buttons, and radio buttons. Let’s see how it works. What we do first is create a connection to the MQTT broker that MQTT Tiles will use to subscribe to required topics. You can specify the connection details of any MQTT broker supporting Secure Web Sockets (WSS) protocol. We are going to use the flespi MQTT broker here - specify the token and save. To activate the connection, you just click on it - it should turn green if successfully established. Now we can start creating boards - collections of widgets that will visualize specific values or perform specific actions. Click the plus sign, pick the type of widget you want to create, and move to the most important step - specify the MQTT topic to get the updates from (flespi/state/gw/channels/6686/traffic). Save it, and there you go. If you star the widget, you will be able to see it on the minimized board view, like this. It’s important to understand that for action widgets you can specify one topic which state the widget will listen to, and another topic which state the widget will change. To do so, you need to switch to the Command mode here. For instance, let’s create a toggle to switch one of my flespi streams on and off. We’ll need to monitor this topic: flespi/state/gw/streams/2646/enabled, and publish changes into this topic: flespi/rest/put/gw/streams/2646 with respective payload: {"enabled": true/false}. Now that we have a nice dashboard, we can share it with someone else. Here is a Share button. When you click it, the link to the dashboard is generated and you can copy it to clipboard. Let’s paste into the new browser tab to check how it works. Yep, it does work fine. This was a brief into MQTT Tiles - an MQTT-based dashboard visualization tool. Check the dedicated article on our blog for more details: https://flespi.com/blog/mqtt-tiles-shareable-and-flexible-iot-dashboards The project will definitely expand and mature, so more features will follow and some interface changes might occur.При создании сайта для клуба путешественников нужно не только рассказать о преимуществах туризма, но и главное - показать, какими невероятными могут быть поездки по миру.
