Next, we'll append the Debian package repository address to the server's sources.list: echo deb https://pkg.jenkins.io/debian-stable binary/ | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jenkins.list When both of these are in place, we'll run update so that apt-get will use the new repository: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install jenkins sudo systemctl start jenkins#awstamil #jenkins #awsjenkins #jenkinstamilnginx master process running as root but complaining that it is not Helpful? The workshop will briefly introduce Pulumi, an infrastructure-as-code platform where you can use familiar programming languages to provision modern cloud infrastructure. We will guide you through the process with diagrams and a series of labs to help accelerate your cloud projects. You'll learn about the following: ▪️ Kubernetes basics ▪️ How to provision a Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) cluster ▪️ Deploying workloads to your cluster ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Workshop Pre-requirements ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ► Create a Pulumi account: https://pulumip.us/Free-Sign-Up ► A Google Cloud account (free tier is okay). ??Source Code: https://github.com/pulumi/workshops/tree/main/gcloud-intro-kubernetes ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Want to learn more? ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ? There are a multitude of ways you can scale your database server beyond just one server and this talk will look at different options. From standard replication and Galera clustering to sharding in the application layer and key based sharding, this talk will look at the different options, how to implement them with MariaDB and MySQL and look at benefits and disadvantages for each of them. This talk will give an overview of Operators, a way to manage Kubernetes-native applications in a scalable and automated way. We will also do a deep dive into the Couchbase Operator, which brings automated provisioning, on-demand scalability, automatic recovery, rack/zone awareness, and more to your cluster. That could be Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, Crossplane, or any other among miriad of those labeled as "DevOps". However, that is often missing the point of what we're trying to accomplish. The goal should be to enable everyone to be in full control of their applications, including dependent services and infrastructure. DevOps is about having self-sufficient teams and the only way to accomplish that is by providing services that everyone can consume. Instead of waiting for requests to create a cluster, perform security scanning, deploy an application, and so on, ops and other specialized teams should be enabling others to do those operations. That enablement is best accomplished by creating an Internal Developer Platform (IDP). In this session, we'll explore the architecture and the key ingredients needed for an IDP. We'll also discuss the key benefits of an IDP and we'll see, through a demo, how we could build one. We'll combine tools like Backstage, Argo CD, Crossplane, and quite a few others into a platform that everyone can use, no matter their experience level.
