The conference features presentations from developers and end users of Kubernetes, Prometheus, Envoy, and all of the other CNCF-hosted projects Zero Trust Service Mesh with Calico, SPIRE, and Envoy - Shaun Crampton, Tigera & Evan Gilman, Scytale The promise of a service mesh is to be able to delegate the hard networking problems to a uniform set of proxies and controllers. An extremely important networking problem is securing traffic within the mesh. Service meshes based on the Envoy proxy are very popular and there is a large diversity of implementations, including many home-grown solutions that focus on routing but may not include security. Shaun and Evan will demonstrate how to enhance your service mesh to follow the Zero Trust network security model using SPIRE and Calico. A Zero Trust Network emphasizes resilience to compromised services, hosts, and the network itself by treating every network connection as potentially hostile. Secure connections are established only when backed by strong cryptographic identity and approved by fine grained policies---provided by SPIRE and Calico respectively. https://sched.co/MPe3This tutorial explains the various aspects of the Docker Container service. Starting with the basics of Docker which focuses on the installation and configuration of Docker, it gradually moves on to advanced topics such as Networking and Registries. The last few chapters of this tutorial cover the development aspects of Docker and how you can get up and running on the development environments using Docker Containers. Docker is a container management service. The keywords of Docker are develop, ship and run anywhere. The whole idea of Docker is for developers to easily develop applications, ship them into containers which can then be deployed anywhere. The initial release of Docker was in March 2013 and since then, it has become the buzzword for modern world development, especially in the face of Agile-based projects. Features of Docker Docker has the ability to reduce the size of development by providing a smaller footprint of the operating system via containers. With containers, it becomes easier for teams across different units, such as development, QA and Operations to work seamlessly across applications. You can deploy Docker containers anywhere, on any physical and virtual machines and even on the cloud. Since Docker containers are pretty lightweight, they are very easily scalable. #dockertutorialforbeginners #docker #dockertutorial #dockerswarm #whatisdocker #dockercompose #dockercontainer #dockercomposetutorial #dockernetworking #dockerswarmtutorial #howtoinstalldockeronwindows10 #dockertutorialsRuby puts the Ruby in “Ruby on Rails”! It’s the Ruby language that makes Rails flexible, powerful, and with a developer-friendly API. How does Rails take advantage of Ruby’s flexibility and metaprogramming to make it so useful? And how can you take advantage of those features in your Rails app? We’ll go over a few specific Ruby features, like how Rails uses Modules, or `define_method` or `instance_eval`. You’ll be able to use these features to make your app as powerful as Rails itself. The conference features presentations from developers and end users of Kubernetes, Prometheus, Envoy, and all of the other CNCF-hosted projects Sharing is Caring: Your Kubernetes Cluster, Namespaces, and You - Amy Chen & Eryn Muetzel, VMware Kubernetes namespaces partition workloads into virtual clusters, so multiple teams or applications can safely share a physical cluster. Today, there is no consensus on how to use namespaces in relation to identity, resource limits, and security. This leads to vulnerable applications and inefficient usage of cluster resources. As the number of teams, clusters, and namespaces grows, it becomes difficult to maintain coherence. By aligning identity, resource limits, and your application’s security posture, cluster operators can get more organizational mileage out of Kubernetes namespaces. In this talk, we will… · Walk through common scenarios of how organizations use namespaces today · Show how to enforce RBAC, resource limits, and your application’s security posture (e.g. networking, service accounts) within namespaces · Outline friction in existing namespace management workflows https://sched.co/MPXl#kubernetes #k8s #devsecops #applicationsecurity #owasp #owasptop10 ? Given the growth and adoption of Kubernetes, a number of projects have been published in the OWASP community to help practitioners assess and secure the security of their containerized infrastructure including the recently released Top Ten for Kubernetes. This OSS project is a community-curated list of the most common Kubernetes risks backed by data collected from organizations varying in maturity and complexity. This session will discuss the project in detail, examples for each of the risks in the list, and how you can get involved. ? What will you learn? ✅ Understand how to interpret the OWASP Top Ten for Kubernetes ✅ Dive into the most pressing risks presenting security and development teams using Kubernetes ✅ Explore OSS tools and frameworks to address Kubernetes security risks ✅ Learn how to contribute to the Top Ten project and other OWASP container security projects ? Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pdevsecopsI've seen many Administrators connecting clients to Domain Controllers without seeing what services are responsible behind connecting Windows client to Domain Controller. In this video, I found 2 services which were responsible behind connecting client to server and they were "TCP/IP NetBIOS helper and Netlogon". I would recommend you to try to connect the client after disabling "Netlogon" service and let the "lmhosts" service run, you will run into one error apart from the error shown in this video (the network path not found), it would be something like this, "User name and Password" error. Once you chance upon this error, you will have 2 workarounds for the same issue, in case you come across anyone of the errors, you will be able to fix the issue in no time. I would have shown that error in this video, had it not been hacked. I'm 100% sure you will be able to see that error message, try it, you will succeed, because you are not working on compromised laptop. I guess so. A quick recap:- In a nutshell, disable netlogon and run lmhosts service (TCP/IP NetBIOS helper). Very simple to understand. Note:- I completely disabled "RemoteRegistry" service while connecting Windows 7 client to Windows Sever 2008 R2, Domain Controller. Some IT people believe that, infamous "RemoteRegistry" service is also required to connect client to Domain Controller, but this is not true. Try it and let me know.Wir haben in unseren Videos bereits viel über Wanderschuhe gesprochen, die vermutlich jeder von euch kennt.
