The emphasis of this presentation will be providing practical code examples for developers looking to begin with one or more of these subject areas. While using core Gradle features to structure a multi-project build, the DMS product also utilizes a collection of open-source plug-ins and custom Gradle code to implement various build aspects, including: -AOP Compiler: Provide compile time aspect-oriented byte-code implementation. The DMS product uses aspects to implement fine-grained method level security in the web tier. -Dependency Management: JFrog artifactory server providing build environment maven repository cache of external repositories, as well as manage our internal integration artifacts. -Unit Testing: Unit testing utilizing JUnit and Spock for the middle tier and Spring Mock MVC and JUnit for the Web Tier. Data access layer unit tests utilizing in-memory H2 database configured with the Oracle dialect (production database), with custom H2 functions to simulate Oracle functions to allow for full unit test suite of all queries. UI Unit testing tests for business logic positive and negative tests, as well as feature by feature negative security tests, to allow for build-time detection of security holes. -Deployment: Auto-creation of RPMs for product deployment to web tier (Tomcat) as well as standalone java components, with jar and war file signing, post-test phase in the Gradle script. -Continuous Integration: Jenkins utilizing the Gradle plugin, to perform the automated build.
