What happens when the system suffers from any of the extreme conditions? The system goes down. The goal of stress testing is to identify application issues that will arise or become apparent only under extreme conditions, which means having testing scenarios as close as possible to real production behavior. In this talk we'll review the possible solutions to stress testing Scala applications. We'll talk about technologies such as Tsung and Gatling, and see how we can leverage existing data generation frameworks to our advantage. Marina has worked with Microsoft technology stack for almost 12 years. Worked in a variety of roles from web and mobile (when no smartphones existed yet) development, NLP, Startup Management. Most recently, Marina made a transition to Linux and Scala, working on variety of projects like high throughput pipeline using Spark, Spray.IO and more. And growing up with a Mother and Father with dependancy issues was not a bed of roses for him. Lonny managed as best he could through Music. It was his escape. And he would eventually go on to begin Producing his own Vocals and Rap Lyrics. In 2003, Lonny started to listen to Hip-Hop records by artists like Eminem, 50 Cent, NWA & Tupac. He found a lot of similarities between his own life and theirs. Drug Addiction in the family being one of those similarities. Others like Kanye West provide him with mega inspiration, on a more familiar level. It was the Graduation Album when he was convinced he wanted to record music. Lonny wants to be like something else, though. Not just an Artist. But, a Respected and Inspirational artist. He wants his music to stand the test of time, and be revisited for generations to come.
