The latest entry in the Dark Souls series by FromSoftware, Elden Ring is more of an open world experience than Demon Souls, the Dark Souls Trilogy, or Bloodborne. With the ability to freely explore and wander, I am sure to get lost and in over my head. Having only beaten Dark Souls I and III, I am far from exceptional at the action RPG combat and will, as the series' name implies, make every effort to Git Gud as I make my way through. As with all souls games, I will fight any invader with honor until they show that they are breaking the unofficial rules of PvP conduct. I will not drink during the fight. I will greet them with a gesture when they come into sight. I will fight to the death for glory and honor. I will likely lose. I am not opposed to the idea of summoning assistance if necessary, however I will attempt every boss fight at least once solo unless there seems to be an NPC story attached to it. While Dark Souls style games are slightly off brand for the channel, they do tend to feature the most strategic action combat seen in any RPG to date, so if you're subscribed for Strategy style content, perhaps you'll find some enjoyment in the more tactical engagements of Elden Ring.
