We truly do go over everything from downloading the Technic Launcher, which is required for Tekkit, to adding more RAM to Tekkit before playing it to finally jumping in game and starting our very own Tekkit world. The Tekkit modpack was originally released all the way back before Minecraft 1.6. Here, we will be installing a newer version that still has all of the old Tekkit charm. Everything from being able to colonize the moon to discovering different dimensions to manufacturing power suits to so much more. Tekkit has hundreds of mods that all have their own unique features. So, let’s go ahead and jump right on into how you can download and install the Tekkit modpack in Minecraft. The first step of getting Tekkit is actually downloading the Technic Launcher. You can find a link to the Technic Launcher in the description above. Once you are on the Technic Launcher download page, scroll down and the green ‘Windows’ button. Technic will begin downloading. You may need to keep/save the file depending on your browser. Once Technic is downloaded, double-click on it to begin the installation process. The installer will open. Click on the ‘install’ button in the bottom right to start the installation. Technic will then install. To run the Technic Launcher, you will need to login to your Mojang account. This is the same account you use with the normal Minecraft Launcher. Now that you have logged in, you will be taken to the Technic Launcher homepage. From here, click on ‘modpacks’. in the top menu bar. When you do this, you will see ‘Tekkit’ in the left-hand sidebar of the launcher. Click on it here, and click ‘install’ in the bottom right. You now know how to install the Tekkit Modpack in Minecraft. Pretty easy right. This process may take a while as Tekkit is a big modpack. After the download is complete, we can actually play the Tekkit Modpack in Minecraft. This is also really easy. Just click the ‘Play’ button that has appeared. When you do that, Tekkit will open up in Minecraft! You can join Tekkit servers, start new worlds, and so much more. Congratulations!
