This is a quick tutorial on the basics of Speedrunning 1.9+ Glitchless Random Seed Any% for Minecraft Java Edition. This category requires that you use random seed) Minecraft Speedrunning Page: https://www.speedrun.com/mc#Any_Glitchless In order for the villager trades to work you MUST be on minecraft version 1.14.4. The main requirements for a successful speedrun is to find a lava pool and a village. Finding a desert temple along the way will also help you speed up the wood mining process with tnt and miscellaneous helpful resources. Because of this, I would recommend trying to spawn in or near a desert. Optional Alternatives: ==Difficulty Change== Most of the top runners actually play on normal difficulty but I prefer to play on easy mode so that way you can have a safer run and not randomly lose the run to mobs. (Note: You MUST change difficulty before moving in accordance to the speedrun rules. If you plan to submit the run to the official leaderboards, I highly recommend reading the rules on the website first so that way you don't accidentally invalidate the run.) ==Mining Iron== You need 4 Iron for the speedrun. 3 for a bucket and 1 for flint and steel. The Iron golem at villages can drop 3-5 Iron in my experience, so there is a chance you will be one short. But desert temples can have iron in them so like 80% of the time you shouldn't need to mine iron directly. ==Savanna Village== Savanna Village houses are made out of alot of wood logs so it's very efficient to gather wood by blowing them up! Other types of villages may not be made of as much wood (if any) so that is why Savanna villages are preferable but not essential in the speedrun. Alternatively you can find a dark oak biom and blow up the trees since they are also very dense in wood. You want to have about 6 stacks of wood before starting trading process. ==Desert Temple TNT== The TNT just speeds up the wood mining process. If you can't find a desert temple that's okay. You can just mine wood with an axe. It'll be a few mins slower, but you can definitely complete the speedrun in under an hour even if you don't find a temple. == Nether Portal Construction == For an in depth tutorial with coverage of multiple lava pool cases see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoGoMfe1qOY Notes: ==Finding the Nether Fortress=== Finding the fortress can be very far away from the portal. It's okay if it takes like 5-6 minutes to find it. Just make sure to place blocks as "bread crumbs" as you search, so that way you can find your way back to the portal! == Don't Use Flint & Steel == The reason we use a button instead of lighting the tnt with flint and steel is because if you use flint and steel the villagers will recognize that you are blowing up their houses and they will make their trades more expensive. If you use a button then they won't get mad at you and they will still trade for cheap. (Villager Logic lol) ==Villager Trades== DON'T Shift click the glow stone like I did in the video. That was a mistake, so yknow, don't do it. Instead trade for individual pieces of glowstone until the villager will trade the next level. If you shift click, you will buy more glowstone than necessary and waste emeralds. Yep. There is a 1/3 Chance you might have to reset the run because the villager won't trade ender pearls. Nothing you can do about it. Sometimes the Fletcher villager won't trade arrows. So if you come along any chickens during your run, you might want to collect some feathers just in case! ==Finding the End Portal Room== In 1.14.4 the Eye of Ender points to the "start" of the stronghold which is just a random room from which the game randomly generates the rest of the rooms. So in other words, there is not really a way to find the portal room without just wondering around and hoping you find it. ==Killing the Ender Dragon== I highly recommend practicing this section in a practice world before attempting the speedrun. In creative, if you type "/setblock ~ ~ ~ end_portal" you will be teleported to the end. Sometimes you can be flung really high into the air if the dragon hits you or when you use a bed. Because of this, I also recommend learning how to "mlg waterbucket" in order to not take fall damage.
