Follow along for two days of programming, modelling, animating and audio mixing, and in the end we'll have a fun implementation of the Will o' the Wisp! Will o' the Wisps are a really interesting folk legend from many cultures, including Scottish which is an influence for my game, of a fairy or spirit that guides (or maybe tricks) travellers with ghostly lights. These wisps are going to be a great incentive for players to explore more of the colored game world after restoring color to the islands. Later I'll tie this into Steam achievements for a little extra motivation, and introduce more and more challenging wisps that will lead you through puzzles and platforming. This video will cover the full implementation from Blender modelling and animating, to Unity game development using C# and tools like DOTween, to Audacity for audio editing. I also show you a custom waypoint system introduced specifically for the wisps to give them a really airy and floating feel.
