История ведётся от лица молодого Следопыта — эльфа по имени Эльхант, который отправился на защиту города Зари, осаждённый, предположительно, орками. Идя наперекор массовому отступлению эльфийских солдат от города, следопыт встречает командира-амазонку, которая в спешке пытается объяснить Эльханту, что на Зари напала нежить. Следопыт, поначалу не понимает о чем та говорит, и сразу же осуждает решение женщины отступать, поскольку в пределах города еще могут оставаться беззащитные горожане. Но, получив от воительницы категоричный отказ в поддержке, отправляется далее в одиночку. На подходах к Зари следопыт переубеждает часть отступающих копейщиков прикрыть отход горожан и заручается поддержкой древочеловека, который также был застан врасплох нашествием мертвецов: этой армии на первых порах с успехом удается держать оборону и даже продвигаться к самому городу. Но наступление зомби и воинов-скелетов начинает заметно теснить уступающих в количестве войско эльфов. Эльхант приказывает оставшимся эльфам отступать в лес, а сам занимает место в оборонительной башне на окраине города. Нежить в итоге обрушивает всю свою мощь на последнего защитника города, штурмуя башню всевозможной пехотой и катапультами. В последний момент, когда судьба прижатого к стенке следопыта, казалось бы, уже предрешена, таинственная амазонка верхом на грифоне прилетает к башне, подхватывает Эльханта и улетает с ним прочь от разоренного города. Эльфийка возмущена инициативой следопыта, поскольку из-за него погибли многие воины, однако Эльхант говорит, что не мог бросить горожан. Амазонка представляется Ланой, дочерью воеводы Монфора, который собирает войско из укрывшихся в окрестных лесах эльфов. Эльхант предъявляет желание поговорить с ним. С этого момента и начинаются эпические приключения.There are 6 main Megaman Battlenetwork games for the gameboy advance. The series was known for it's unique spin off on the iconic classic megaman series. Instead of a 2D platformer where you run and gun, MMBN was much more like a traditional RPG game - with a twist! Similar to Pokemon and Final Fantasy, you run around an open world map and occasionally enter a battle sequence. MMBN was a little different in that you weren't just picking out attacks and watching them happen. You could physically control your character around the battle field!! The first 2 games were fairly standard RPG games. You have 4 elements, Fire, Grass, Elec, and Water. I don't need to explain how that system works! It wasn't until the later games that things got really interesting. Now instead of just playing rock paper scissors with the elements, you had the ability to change your own element which gave you a much broader variety of playstyles. Which brings me to this game Megaman Battlenetwork 6. It was the final game in the series, and while they had some pretty good concepts and ideas in the former games, nothing would compare to what MMBN6 pulled off. Okay now that the SEO is out of the way let me drop some knowledge about this game. Your playing as Megaman - the little blue guy. He kinda sucks as he is, he can't play rock paper scissors with everyone else, his gun is really weak and there's just not a lot going on for him. However because he's Megaman, he gets the ability to steal the boss's weapons when he beats them. Now here's where things get interesting in this game. In addition to stealing Boss's identities, you can also trigger this cool beast form! Now you can only do 1 depending on which version of the game your playing. But I'd personally say that the Gregar version (The green wolf guy) is a lot more entertaining than the Falzar version (The red bird guy). His gun is better and his Boss forms are just funner to play around with. Unless you're one of those "Strategic planners" in RPG games, you'll like the Gregar version more - trust me. So take these awesome beast forms and kick it up a notch - You can MIX the beast form with the element you got from the boss. This opens up the game to a lot of different playstyles. Maybe your one of those aforementioned planners and you like inflicting status effects to help you in battle. Then the Falzar version is for you! But if your a brute like me and you like just shooting things until they drop, then the Gregar version is for you! This was a trip down memory lane for me, I haven't played this game in YEARS! It was a lot of fun experimenting around with all the different elements and figuring out which one I liked best. Plus it's a pretty fun game without all the extra flash and explosions. MMBN is like a card game, where you need to stack your decks and make combos out of your "battle chips". I would highly recommend this series to anyone. The story is kinda weak, and the main character is really annoying. But the combat and card collecting aspect of the game more than make up for that. My bad for missing this Friday's upload, I'm trying to stay consistent but life just gets in the way.
