The range improvement was achieved by making heated seats a standard feature with the base battery, which reduces the HVAC load on the battery while ensuring passenger comfort. Additionally, the 2023 F-150 Lightning will now come with the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist feature. This system automates steering, throttle, and brake inputs, simplifying the process of connecting a trailer. This technology is included in the Tow Technology Package option available for the Pro, XLT, and Lariat trims and comes standard with the Lariat Extended Range and Platinum grades. In terms of aesthetics, the 2023 F-150 Lightning will offer revised color options. New additions to the color palette include Avalanche Gray and Azure Gray metallic tri-coat.
